We love being able to come to their rescue, but we need to feed them and provide for all their needs, once we rescue them. Many prove to need us longer, some permanently, and we are dedicated to meeting their needs and providing them a safe and happy life as Sanctuary horses.
We are in desperate need of donations to buy hay and grain for the rescued horses. Our donations are at an all-time low and hay and feed costs have risen substantially. We could really use your help.
Your donations literally make it possible to continue to feed these precious souls who depend on us. Our donations have become so scarce, we have needed to rely on our personal incomes and savings to cover the lack of donations we have experienced from the beginning of the Covid pandemic and through drought and price gouging we have experienced in the last 4 years. It has been a very challenging few years for us, as we lost many donors who could no longer afford to donate, including 2 large donors who passed away and 3 large donors who had financial hardships. We have barely been able to hold on, and the inability to get enough donations to buy hay and feed is very stressful. These precious horses in our care, need us to keep pressing on for them.
With hay and feed prices continuing to rise into new record highs, the struggle worsens for us. We appreciate all donations, even $2 given by enough people can make a huge impact.
The price of round bales is very high - $160.00 per round bale. Before the gas and diesel hike, Covid and the drought, the same grower's hay was $60 per round bale. We are desperate to get enough donations to buy hay. Please, please help if you can.
We are 100% donation operated; without your help, we would have to close our doors and PRRHR&S would no longer exist.

FEED Fundraiser
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!
We fundraise for the feed needs of the rescue horses every other week and we purchase a quality feed for the cheapest pricing. Feed is vital for both calories and nutrition. We spend $1,764.00 every 14 days to meet the demands of the horses at PRRHR&S.
We need 40 alfalfa bales at $20.95 each, 42 coastal square bales at $14.50 each, and 35 to 40 round bales at $160 each, every month. Will you help us please? Every dollar adds up.
We could not save as many lives as we have, or take in owner surrenders, and give them the second chances they deserve, without the loving support from caring people who share in our mission. We appreciate your help very much.

HAY Fundraiser
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!
We are really struggling to get enough money to provide hay for all the horses at our Rescue and Sanctuary. We have been suffering from drought for 3 years now and hay prices have skyrocketed. We are paying $160 per round bale of coastal hay. The price gouging, drought and hay shortage has added insult to injury; we are having to pay $100 more per round bale than we were paying 2 years ago.
We need 40 alfalfa bales at $20.95 each, 40 coastal square bales at $14.50 each, and 35 to 40 round bales at $160 each, every month.
Horses have to eat, and we have to find a way to provide what they need.
Will you help us please? Every dollar adds up. Our Rescue & Sanctuary does not receive enough donations for even half of the hay and feed needs of the horses. Donations are way down for most legitimate rescues and sanctuaries and we are watching far too many of the good ones have to shut down because they can no longer afford to feed the horses. Please know we are very grateful for every dollar we receive and we rely on your loving support.
