PALOMINO RIDGE RANCH HORSE RESCUE IS ENTIRELY DEPENDENT ON DONATIONS FROM GENEROUS GIVERS TO PROVIDE FOR THE NEEDS OF THE RESCUED HORSES. WE WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP YOU MAY BE WILLING TO GIVE.
WE LOVE SAVING HORSES, YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT MAKES IT POSSIBLE. TOGETHER, WE CHANGE LIVES.
They are $475 EACH! We need $750 for transport (high diesel prices), $500 is needed for quarantine and milk replacer too!
These tiny, traumatized babies will DIE in there, they NEED milk replacer, they are way too young to be without their mother's milk!
Someone cruel must have shipped their moms to slaughter!
These two little girls look like they have bonded up together in the video, we have to help them both!
PLEASE HELP if you can! PLEASE PRAY we can get them out of there before Monday! The kill pen is closed until Monday and they just listed these foals! We know they won't be feeding them milk replacer!!
This comes at a time where our donations are at an all-time low and we shouldn't be taking in any more horses, but these are FOALS IN A KILL PEN where they will die without quick intervention. We are a horse rescue, and they are helpless, what kind of people would we be if we don't help them?
Every dollar adds up, PLEASE help if you are able!!
Taking in orphans is not cheap and requires round the clock care and much prayer. They have been exposed to all kinds of germs.
Our hearts hurt for them, we HAVE to help.
*$1923.38 updated total needed for Hay
We are currently in a drought situation in Texas. We were able to secure the last 5 bales from our supplier at our normal $80 per bale price for a total of $400. He has no more hay for us due to the drought situation. May is normally our wettest month but this year we have had no rain, 95+ degrees temperatures and all the pasture grasses are dying. To make things worse, diesel fuel prices are sky high which has a huge impact on the costs of hay and feed, raising prices further.
We have found a supplier that can deliver 18 round bales at a time; his price is $95 per bale. That total is $1,710.
We need your help to share and donate if you are able.
This is what we are always afraid of in rescue - receiving enough donations to feed hay and grain to our rescued horses. Loving people come together to help us save horses, but after we get them safe, that's when the real work and expense begins. Providing hay, feed and quarantine expenses are our biggest hurdles.
Please help us if you can! Thank you all for your continued love and support of our rescue. We could not do this without you!!
We are blessed with the opportunity to be able to quarantine the weanlings and yearlings we have rescued from the direct ship to slaughter pens at auctions and kill pens, on beautiful grass pastures at the ranch Sean is leasing. We are able to allow them to live in a very low stress herd environment where they can eat, drink, run and play while they get healthy and gain weight after the trauma and neglect they have experienced. We have an arrangement with Sean where we pay $1500 a month plus feed to lease the pastures for this group of 9 youngsters. We currently have 18 horses at Sean's leased ranch, some in quarantine at $250 a month each, some being boarded and some there for training. Two of the horses who are there for training, everyone knows pretty well - Legend and Zeke, who are there for Sean to see if they can become riding horses or if they need to remain sanctuary horses. Our two newest rescues, the starved palomino yearling and the neglected palomino mare are there, as well as the frightened and very pregnant Lark, whom Sean is making slow but steady progress with. We also have tiny baby Skittles and her momma, Starburst, in Sean's care in the large, roomy barn. Sean has informed us that Skittles and her momma need to stay there because Sean is quite attached to Skittles. We are fighting to see who will get to have Skittles at which facility, LOL. If you would be so kind as to donate for this ongoing boarding and quarantine expense, we would really appreciate it. We typically receive enough donations to rescue horses from kill pens and auctions to keep them from going to slaughter, but we have a tough time raising enough money to pay for quarantine, board, hay, grain, farrier care, vaccinations, dewormer and castrations. We would be so grateful for any donations we can get for these all important daily needs of the rescued horses. Thank you.
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!
We fundraise for the feed needs of the rescue horses every other week and purchase it from a feed mill to receive the cheapest pricing. Feed is vital especially for horses like our weanling new arrivals, who are very underweight and need larger amounts of both calories and nutrition. We spend a little over $759 every two weeks to meet the demands of the horses at the rescue who are requiring feed. Will you help us please? Every dollar adds up.
We could not save as many lives as we have and give them the second chances they deserve, without the loving support from caring people who share in our mission. We appreciate your help very much.
